Nominations Open for Somerset Future 30 Rising Stars

Somerset Chamber of Commerce is calling on businesses, charities and other organisations to shine a light on the county’s next generation of talent as nominations open for a new award scheme – the Somerset Future 30.

Entries open this Monday (July 6) for nominations for 30 outstanding young professionals aged under 30 who are already making a meaningful impact across Somerset.

The Somerset Future 30 awards is a fresh and forward-looking initiative designed to recognise emerging leaders in business, innovation and community impact.

Entrants must be aged 30 or under and be employed or self-employed for an organisation based in Somerset. Unlike traditional awards, the programme will spotlight a group of individuals, celebrating those who are helping to shape Somerset’s future.

Businesses are encouraged to nominate rising stars within their teams, while individuals are also welcome to put themselves forward. Judges will be looking for people who go beyond expectations, demonstrate ambition and create real impact in their workplace or community.

The selected Somerset Future 30 will be recognised and profiled, culminating in a vibrant celebration event bringing together young professionals and senior leaders from across the county.

David Crew, Managing Director of Somerset Chamber of Commerce, said: “We are launching The Somerset Future 30 to recognise the incredible young people already making a difference right here in our county.

“We know there is exceptional talent across Somerset and this is an opportunity to celebrate those who are driving change, showing leadership and shaping the future of our economy.

“I encourage businesses of all sizes, as well as individuals, to put forward nominations and help us showcase the very best of Somerset’s emerging leaders.”

The Chamber has worked with creative partner Hatched Agency to develop the programme’s branding and website, with additional sponsors set to be announced in the coming weeks.

More information about The Somerset Future 30 is available on the dedicated website somerset30.co.uk.

Nominations must be submitted online via the awards website before the closing date of August 14.
